Quiosco Verde colabora con la Fundación Vicente Ferrer a través del reciclaje de teléfonos móviles.
Quiosco Verde, marca comercial de la empresa AEDIS (Asesoría Editorial y Distribución S.L.), ha puesto en marcha una iniciativa solidaria y respetuosa con el medio ambiente de la que ha querido hacer partícipe a la Fundación Vicente Ferrer: en 5.000 quioscos de prensa de toda España recogerán los viejos móviles para reciclarlos y poder así reutilizar hasta el 92% de sus componentes. Quiosco Verde destinará parte de los fondos que recaude con esta iniciativa a financiar proyectos de mujer de la Fundación Vicente Ferrer.
El total de teléfonos móviles en estos momentos en nuestro país supera los 57 millones. Se calcula que en España cada año salen de circulación unos 20 millones de terminales, que acaban olvidados en un cajón o en los vertederos, donde el agua o el sol aceleran su proceso de degradación, liberando al ambiente los metales pesados junto a otros componentes nocivos para nuestra salud, como el cobre, el plomo o el zinc. Con esta iniciativa pionera, Quiosco Verde pretende recuperar esos materiales para contribuir a preservar el medio ambiente al tiempo que colabora con la Fundación en el desarrollo de las mujeres en la India.
