Lecce y El Salento

Este verano hemos tenido la oportunidad de visitar una zona poco conocida de Italia: la Puglia y la costa del Salento, gracias a la hospitalidad de unos buenos amigos destinados allí, que nos han abierto las puertas de su céntrico palacete de principios del siglo XX, en la ciudad de Lecce. La ciudad está plagada de palacios e iglesias barrocas de una piedra blanca amarillenta que inunda todo de luz. Impresiona la Basílica de la Santa Croce, con una fachada tan cargada de decoración que más bien parece un encaje o una filigrana.[1]
Desde allí hemos ido a la costa: Porto Cesareo y sus lidos llenos de italianos chulos de mini bañador blanco y de italianas estilosas con bolsos de Prada en la arena; Otranto, Leuca, Gallipolli, San Cesarea Terme, pueblos costeros donde el turismo masivo todavía no ha llegado, donde se puede disfrutar de una granita de anguria (un sorbete de sandía) sentado en una terraza donde seguramente serás el único que no hable italiano, aunque ello no te impedirá entablar una animada charla.
En resumen una experiencia estupenda que esperamos repetir ¡¡ Ouuuu!!

Nos alegramos mucho, que os haya gustado el Sur de Italia, pero ya sabeis habeis conocido una zona en verano, os esperamos para disfrutar de otros lugares en otra estación del año. Un besazo

Muy bonitas fotos y vaya viajecito más chulo habéis hecho. Desde aquí siento envidia. Que bonito el azul del mar, que maravilla Capri, las Pompella me han impresionado, sobre todo, esa en la que sale como el techo de un templo. Vamos, me habéis puesto los dientes tan largos, que el año que viene me parece que cambiamos de destino. Por cierto, las fotos de Capri parecen que están hechas desde un barco???.
